We are very pleased with our our Italian Spinone pup from Dan Hormann since the day we got her. She only had two accidents in our home , she was almost completely potty trained at 8 weeks. She was totally comfortable in her crate and still is. She is beautiful and her pleasant disposition was a great bonus to us.

We purchased two pups from Dan. The first one, Max , was a gentle and
completely docile as a puppy.
He had all of his shots, was micro-chipped and everything else guaranteed by the
breeder. He was amazing.
Our second pup, Massimo, is a bolt of energy. He is very social but still true
to the breed. He is active yet does
not jump and scratch our daughter and other children that come to our home. Our
vet loves him as they are a
breed that is not seen often in the south.
Both puppies were/are healthy.
All the literature about this breed is accurate. They need your attention or
just to be at your feet or in your lap.
If I get onto Max for something, you can see in his eyes he needs positive
encouragement that I love him and that
he is upset that he disappointed me. He is amazing.
They are so smart! ~He is a cuddlier. ~ I just don't know what I am going to
do in a couple of months when he is
still mentally a puppy but almost as big if not as big as me. He is amazing
though. I know I use that word allot, but
they have such quick wit, love their owners attention and will do anything to
please you. My daughter is really into
acting out movies and Max is right beside her.
He has already gotten use to the crate and only cries when he needs to potty.
This is great to me. We have had
other breeds before that were so hard to crate and potty train. Max is not that
way.
Dan is great! Both of the sales went smoothly. We flew up there instead of
shipping the pups. We didn't want them
to be in the cargo area for their first trip away from their mom. The plane
rides went smoothly both times. We got
several compliments on how great the pups did. Not a peep the entire flight.

Note:
The first puppy the Kirkendall’s purchased “Max”, died in a freak accident
only two day’s after they purchased him.
So they purchased a second one “Massimo”.

Cleveland "Suckup"
I purchased my male Spinone (Cleveland) from Dan about 3 weeks ago. After numerous conversations on the phone with Dan, I decided that one of his puppies would be a perfect fit in my home. He had all of his shots and was micro-chipped when I got him. His first trip to his new vet went great. He was as healthy as could be and the Vet was extremely excited about seeing him considering the breed is very rare in Alabama.
In the 3 weeks that I have had Cleveland, he keeps surprising me every day. Everything that I had read about the bread before I bought Cleveland has been very accurate with his mannerisms. He craves attention and everyone that has come by to see him comments on his temperament, uniqueness and looks. I have received tons of compliments and many people seem to be very curious about the breed.
Cleveland is very smart. We have been working together every day and he is a quick learner. I am crate training him and he has done great so far. He lets me know, when he needs to go outside and needless to say he hasn’t had any “accidents” inside the house yet.
Dan and I have kept in touch since I bought Cleveland. Every since the first time I spoke with Dan on the phone, I felt like I could trust him. The sale went great and I expect that Dan and I will continue to stay in touch.
